Dragon Age: Inquisition's new DLC, Mass Effect 4, and Mortal Kombat have been in the news lately, making waves in the gaming industry and teasing what is to come. Dragon Age: Inquisition's first major story expansion is arriving in May 2015, while Mass Effect's next title in development and Mortal Kombat has sample DLC characters. Exciting!

BioWare has just confirmed today via Twitter that Dragon Age: Inquisition's first DLC pack will arrive in PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 come May 2015. The RPG's first and primary expansion titled Jaws of Hakkon will bring in players to a new revelation of the last Inquisitor's destiny and his encounter with the dragon he hunted. Jaws of Hakkon is set in an lush wilds inhabited by the Avvar hunter folks where players can explore an old Tevinter fortress that conceals a perilous secret.

The new DLC pack will feature new enemies and more powerful armaments to discover. It will cap off the story with combat against an ancient deity of war whose goal centers on destroying the world. Jaws of Hakkon was exclusively released on Xbox One and PC last week as per BioWare and Microsoft agreement. This sparked rants from fans that later on revoked the agreement.

In another BioWare news, Mass Effect 4 is reported to be in huge development after the leaked images last week surfaced online showing the team behind the game shooting a part of the next Mass Effect title. Although details of the development remain scarce, more hints tease that Mass Effect 4 is indeed showing up in E3 2015 in June based on BioWare's tweets.

When asked about the game's compatibility on PC platform, creative director Mac Walters said the team is doing great with the developments of Mass Effect 4. In another post, he said: "I was just reviewing on PC today. Looking great!" While the game's senior development director Chris Wynn took Twitter and said they are "focused on getting most out of the current crop of hardware."

Bioware senior producer Jonathan Warner and writer Jay Watamaniuk both teased the developer's "new, unannounced IP." Watamaniuk said on his Twitter account: "Looking damn cool even at this very early stage." While Warner said: "I am so proud of my team! An amazing milestone review today. Honestly one of the best feelings ever. #Secret #BioWare."

Previous reports revealed that Mass Effect 4 will be out by October 2016. However, nothing official has been said for now.

Elsewhere, it's a great news for Mortal Kombat X fans as the game gives players the opportunity to try out sample DLC characters. According to game director Ed Boon, downloadable Mortal Kombat characters in special Towers can be tried first without buying them.

In an interview, Boon said that "one of the special Tower types would give players a chance to sample DLC characters, as long as they log in and try the fighter during the event's duration." However, the director did not give any closure to his statement how long this opportunity will last.
