CD Projekt RED has been exerting continuous efforts to provide more details about their highly anticipated game, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," as its release date, May 19th, draws near. The latest information they had shared with the gaming community was on AI in the various cities Geralt would be visiting.
In "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," Geralt would travelling over a very vast expanse of land. In those travels, he would be encountering several creatures, monsters so to speak, and Geralt would have a choice whether to slay these creatures or ally with these creatures. CD Projekt RED senior writer Jakub Szamałek said that "Geralt basically kills the monsters that are dangerous to people, but there are reasonable monsters who have a valid reason to show aggression." He added that some creatures merely reacted at how the townsfolk were treating it and it would be up to Geralt if he would kill it or reason out to the townsfolk to leave the creature alone. Add to that, there would be some consequence to the second choice as creatures that were left alone to live would sometimes be useful in completing quests.
Speaking of the townsfolk, Szamałek added that Geralt would be able to bargain with townsfolk who gave him a contract. He said that "people either accept [the gamer's] terms, or offer their own, cheaper price. It's a simple system, but it allows [the gamer] to feel [themselves] as a Witcher. If "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" gamers run out of money, they could head out to the nearest bank and ask for a loan. This was said to be important, since sometimes, townsfolk might trick Geralt into receiving a little sum for a very dangerous contract. Gamers were advised, however, to pay their previous loans before making a new one.
In an earlier report, CD Projekt RED revealed that there would also be a variety of dungeons in the game. CD Projekt RED Level designer Miles Tost confirmed that the dungeons would be so huge that it would take gamers roughly an hour to explore its entirety. Add to that, there would also be dungeons that were filled with spooks that would certainly frighten gamers.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED Senior Art Producer Michał Krzemiński revealed that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be the last book in Geralt's story as well as in "The Witcher" series, based on a report from Gaming Bolt. However, the game developers said that fans could still catch Geralt and "The Witcher" universe in other platforms such as comics.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be released a few weeks from now in PS4, Xbox One and PC.
