While hardcore fans have been waiting for the highly anticipated release of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," they were treated in to some delightful details about the upcoming launch of the latest installment in "The Witcher" franchise.

CD Projekt RED Senior Game Designer Damien Monnier answered a few questions in his Twitter account about the upcoming launch of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." The questions of gamers range from the upcoming games combat system to details from "The Witcher 2" that would be carried over to "The Witcher 3." First off, Monnier said that the author of "The Witcher" saga, Andrzej Sapkowski, had been part in the early stages of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" production; he added that "[Sapkowski] was involved at the beginning, but since [The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt] is set after the books, [CD Projekt RED] writers took over it.

Add to that, Monnier said that they took inspiration from "Dark Souls" combat system. He added that "I love [Dark Souls], [our combat system] is similar in fact - responsive, fast. [It's a] big influence for sure." Then, he also added that "The Witcher 2" details in the PC edition, like a certain tattoo, would be carried over "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," when a PC edition gamer used PC saves, based on a report from Dual Shockers.

Monnier also shared CD Projekt RED's toughest challenge in developing "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." He said that "the amount of unique NPCS being displayed on screen, all doing their own thing [was the hardest technological challenge]. That's a lot of thinking power."

Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED CEO Marcin Iwinski revealed that they would be releasing mod tools for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" sooner compared to those of "The Witcher 2." Iwinski also defended their "all DLCs for free" stance and said that this was their way of rewarding gamers who would be buying the legit copy of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

On the other hand, CD Projekt RED Level designer Miles Tost explained the variety of dungeons "The Witcher 3" gamers would be encountering in the upcoming game. Tost said that the dungeons would be so big that gamers might be spending an hour exploring the dungeons; some of them, Tost added would be horror themed, based on a report from Game Ranx.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be launched on May 19, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
