"American Idol" is down to the last eight contestants aiming to win the title of becoming the next American Idol. Which of the eight remaining contestants will be eliminated in the upcoming episode of "American Idol?"
In the last episode of "American Idol," the contestants sang and performed Kelly Clarkson's hit singles. Daniel Seavey and Rayvon Owen were last week's bottom two and Owen was saved thanks to the twitter votes and Seavey, unfortunately, left the show.
The remaining top eight contestants are Nick Fradiani, Tyanna Jones, Jax, Quentin Alexander, Joey Cook, Qaasim Midleton, Rayvon Owen, and Clark Beckham.
According to IB Times, this week's theme is the "Billboard Hot 100 Hits." Jason Derulo and Florida Georgia Line will be this week's guest mentors, who will also be performing live on stage. The outlet cited that Derulo will be performing his new single, "Want To Want Me."
Iggy Azalea will be performing her hit single, "Trouble" along with "American Idol" alum Jennifer Hudson. While the results are all up to the audience and viewers of the show, critics are already predicting the top five contestants for "American Idol XIV."
Michael Slezak from TV Line raved about Joey Cook's performance of "Miss Independent." "I think it was everything I ever wanted it to be and even more," said Slezak.
He also thinks that Cook was last week's top performer, but co-host Melinda Doolittle thinks that she was the top two. Slezak named Quentin Alexander as his top two, but Doolittle begs to disagree. Doolittle praised Alexander for his arrangement, but said that he failed to hit all the notes.
According to Slezak, Jax and Clark Beckham complete the top five along with Rayvon Owen. Slezak makes a fearless forecast that Jax will be one of the top contenders for the show's season finale.
"American Idol" airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on FOX.
