Samsung S6 and S6 Edge are not the only flagship devices from the Korean tech company that are coming this year, because the upcoming Samsung Note 5 is presumed to arrive in the third quarter of the year.
The New Galaxy Note, Samsung Note 5, could have a September launching at the IFA 2015 event. In the past, Samsung always launches its flagship Galaxy Note during that event. This year IFA will start in September 4.
But while it is a hot item to talk about now, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is still a mystery. No confirmations have been made about its specs, so what everyone can have now is a concept about the upcoming device.
The closest hints that interested supporters can get are those Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge features that the Galaxy Note 5 will likely inherit. These include premium design, better fingerprint sensor, high-resolution display, big storage options, camera enhancements, and new TouchWiz.
Korea Herald reported that Samsung is considering the dual-edge display of the S6 Edge for the Note series. This suggestion is drawn from the words of Samsung's executive vice-president for product strategy, Roh Tae-moon, saying that "there is a possibility that Samsung will introduce the curved display for the Galaxy Note lineup." With Samsung likely using the same 5.7-inch screen, the Note 5 will surely arrive with a much more generous front screen. This will further be enhanced with 4K display, as it is the next possible step for Samsung following its Quad HD rollout.
The Galaxy Note 5 is also said to sport better fingerprint sensor, along with an iris scanner for added security. It's also very much possible for the upcoming Note device to feature the same killer camera features of S6 which according to reviews can match iPhone's. If Samsung wants this Note device to be in a separate line of competition, then there could be truth in rumors that the Note 5 will have a 20MP and optical image stabilization. An 8-core Exynos with a 4000mAh rating is speculated to power all the above-mentioned upgrades, complemented with wireless charging capability.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date will be on October, one month after its introduction at the IFA September 2015 event which will be held in Berlin. If Samsung will follow its previous release calendar for the Note 4, that is.
