Game of Thrones season 5 is just around the corner and fans from all over are getting impatient to see what is in store for them and the characters. The fans are in for a ride because this season will involve a lot more deaths, drama, and, of course, blood and it will certainly bring tears to the eyes of many as it has for the last four seasons.
Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, told fans to steel themselves for what is yet to come in all new season 5! The actor says that along with the surprising twists the show will take, the season will spill more blood and fans will be finding themselves consistently shocked. Waldau promises that fans will not be bored with the new season.
In this new season, a few fan favorites are going to be put into danger and while that is nothing new, two of these characters have lived relatively safe lives until the upcoming season. One of them is Cersei Lannister, played by Lena Headey. Cersei will attempt to frame Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) for adultery and have her penalized by the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce), who is a high-ranking clergyman from the Faith of the Seven. But, this plan will backfire and Cersei will have to answer for her wrongdoings.
Another character in danger is Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Though she has taken over the city of Meereen as queen, there are subjects who are not satisfied with her rule which in turn cause Dany to make some decisions that could further endanger her. In the books, a terrorist faction called the Sons of the Harpy cause unrest in Dany's kingdom. Dany attempts to fix this by marrying Hizdahr zo Loraq, who claims he could make things peaceful again. However, Loraq tries to poison Dany and she escapes Meereen on one of her dragons.
What really rattles the fans to the core of this immensely popular fantasy saga is book author, George RR Martin, said that there would be characters that die in the TV series but live in the book and with the way Game of Thrones treats its characters; everyone is in danger.
Fans will be chewing on their nails with each episode that no one they care about dies. Game of Thrones season 5 will premiere on April 12. Are you ready?
