The Witcher 3 Wild hunt is still months away from release but fans are already given two massive expansions to look forward to. Aside from the expansions, the game is revealed to be "epically" long especially if to account Damian Monnier's Twitter response covered by vg247, when asked how long the gameplay is, side quests included.
"...if you do everything I d say 200+ hours."
Apparently The Witcher 3 development team, CD Projekt Red is not happy with the gameplay length and decides to add a bit more, just to turn this epic third installment into something unbelievable.
Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt Red released a statement covered by PC gamer that,
"We've said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there."
They have now released two massive expansions for the Witcher 3, and true to their word, it is truly expansive with over 30 hours of additional gameplay. A real money's worth.
The first expansion: Heart of Stone
This will add approximately 10 hours of additional gameplay to the Witcher 3. The expansion story revolves on Geralt's dealings with the "Man of Glass." It will pit the protagonist into dire situations to complete his contract with this mysterious figure.
The second expansion: Blood and Wine
Juxtaposed to Geralt's war torn world is a new land called Toussaint. The country is said to be a place of indulgence. CD Projekt Red describes the place as,
"untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret."
These two massive expansion stories will turn the Witcher 3 Wild hunt into a huge, role playing world, far bigger than both of its previous titles combined. By the looks of it, CD Projekt Red have made a beast of a game that will take completionists hours to tame. If everything goes smoothly and on schedule, the game will be released on May 19, 2015 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
