Two new devices from HTC will be joining the HTC One M9 on its roster of releases this year. The two new phablets are the HTC One M9+ and One E9+, and they are already rolling out to the stores in China.
About a month ago, the Taiwan-based phone maker revealed that it will be launching other phablets aside from its flagship phone (HTC One M9). However, it seems that its sibling came out a bit sooner to herald its arrival on the market. It is belived that HTC's two new toys will be competing against two other major devices from Apple and Samsung, the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy S6 Edge respectively.
The word about the unveiling of the One M9+ did not come directly from HTC. However, leaked photos of a device with the label "Beijing, April 8, 2015" suggest that it is so. Other photos of the device hinted some of the phablet's features as well as its dual-tone color scheme and metallic body. Additionally, an official website for the HTC One E9+ has been launched just recently in China, prompting the idea that the said model to be included at HTC's unveiling event as well.
The HTC One M9+ and One E9+ both feature a 20MP rear camera and a 4MP front-facing UltraPixel. They also offer 32GB of internal storage and an expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card.
Both models agree to have bigger displays than the HTC One M9 with Quad-HD reaolution, and would have Android Lollipop OS pre-installed. However, the One E9+ sports a slightly larger display (5.5") than the One M9+ (5.2").
Then again, when it comes to under-the-hood performance, the One M9+ would have to make the better cut. It comes with a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and 3GB RAM, while the E9+ packs a 2.0GHz octa-core CPU and 2GB system memory. The HTC One M9+ and One E9+ will be hitting the store shelves of China soon. However, their price tags remain unannounced and it would have to wait further before or until the to devices goes officially on sale.
