By

Fans gear up because Gotham season 1, the hit Fox crime show,is reaching its finale soon! The show has been garnering a big fan base and consistent high ratings with their first season and it is only going to get better from here. For the finale, a fan-favorite villain is potentially set to die, someone who started so small will start a huge war, and Joker might come to play again soon.

Fish Mooney, one of the show's original villains, can be in more mortal peril than she already is. She has been imprisoned in a place where organs are harvested and she poked her eye out to spite her captors. Actress Jada Pinkett Smith shared in a recent interview that her time in Gotham is up and that she will not be returning for the second season.

Though her death was not confirmed, the actress promised that Mooney's storyline is going to take some noteworthy turns in the last episodes of Gotham season 1.Pinkett Smith, however, did seem open to the idea of returning to the show, which makes fans a little optimistic about her fate during the finale.

Though one villain is going down, more formidable villains are rising from her departure. One of which is Oswald Cobblepot or The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), is about to cause some big trouble in an upcoming episode "The Anvil or the Hammer". In this episode, Cobblepot is going to spearhead a massacre, which will start a war of epic proportions in Gotham. That is not a good sign for anyone innocent or a police officer. The Penguin started with big, violent dreams for his future and now it seems that those dreams are becoming everyone's nightmare.

Another villain who is definitely coming back is The Joker or Jerome Valeska, played by Cameron Monaghan. However, it is not clear when the notorious nemesis of Batman is returning. Monaghan said that there was a discussion about his future on the show and he was not sure if he was coming back for season two or three. But he was sure that the producers had a plan. Gotham's story would just not be complete without The Joker around.

Do not miss the thrill and suspense on Gotham season 1's final arc starting April 13.
