'Arrow' Season 3 is about to reach is conclusion, with only a few more episodes to go before the highly-anticipated finale. The stakes are high right now: the Arrow is considered to be a public threat, Roy (who saved Oliver by misleading the authorities into thinking that he is the Arrow instead of Ollie) is in prison, and Ra's Al Ghul is not deterred to make Oliver his heir. While Oliver appears to be determined to consistently reject the Demon's offer, a recent reveal from CW indicates that this persistence may fall off at some point in the upcoming episodes.
In a report posted by Fashion & Style, a new promotional video for the crossover episode between 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' showed Oliver wearing a leather outfit that looks to be something that Ra's wore in one of their meetings, instead of the green uniform that fans normally see him in. Fans were quick to speculate that this could mean that Oliver would end up becoming the next "Demon," but after executive producer Mark Guggenheim revealed the title of the season finale, "My Name is Oliver Queen," it now looks like Ollie is going to have a moment of enlightenment afterall.
What can be taken of these developments then?
First off, it is likely that Oliver would accept the role of becoming the next Ra's Al Ghul especially due to what is rumored to happen. According to an article published by Movie Pilot, Roy (a.k.a. Arsenal) may die on the next episode (due to being stabbed by one of the inmates while in prison), which would then drive Ollie to the breaking point and finally accept Ra's offer. This is, of course, just a theory, but if it proves to be true, then it would be reasonable for him to come back to his senses later on and return to being the Arrow, which would then give meaning to the finale's title.
Things are indeed getting suspenseful and exciting, but for now, we will focus on what is near. 'Arrow' returns from its two week hiatus this Wednesday, April 15, with its 19th episode titled "Broken Arrow." Here is the sypnosis for the upcoming episode as released by CW:
"Lance (Paul Blackthorne) continues his mission to take down the Arrow (Stephen Amell) so Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) orders Oliver to keep a low profile. However, when a meta-human named Jake Simmons (guest star Doug Jones), who kills people with blasts of energy and plasma, starts terrorizing Starling City, Oliver is forced to ask Ray (Brandon Routh) for help. The unlikely duo is forced to team up to save the city."
