LG announced that they will dole out 4,000 G4 smartphones across South Korea, USA, Canada, and other regions. Thus, a leak was recently spotted revealing a list of impressive features of the handheld such as IPS Quantum Display, f/1.8 aperture lens camera, Removable 3,000mAh Battery and SD Card Slot, and many more!
As the release of the company's G4 is now days ahead, LG recently announced that they were going to give 4,000 G4 smartphones to select consumers across South Korea, Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, the USA, China, India, Brazil, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan, or Hong Kong.
Silocon Republic cited president and CEO of LG Juno Cho saying, "Customers are our best fans and we think this would be an exciting and unique way to get our most important mobile product of the year close to the public. We're putting the success of LG G4 in the hands of consumers before the launch because we believe they are the best judge of a great user experience, beyond just benchmarks and speed tests."
The upcoming device will sport leather, an f/1.8 aperture lens camera, and a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (2,560x1440 resolution). The device will also be running a new user interface called UX 4.0, which builds on previous software made by LG. The company said that the focus of the interface is to offer a "simple and easy to use interface that's so highly customizable." The interface brings few new features such as Quick Shot, Expert Camera Mode, Smart Board, and Smart Alert.
The Quick Shot allows users to double-click the volume on the back of the phone to launch the camera app. The Expert Camera Mode will enable the Gallery app to understand automatically where a user took photos and groups them into a single album. The Smart Board will gather information from apps like calendar, music, health, and combine it into a single widget. Likewise, the Smart Alert learns about the user's lifestyle, and provides them with modified notifications that suit the user, i.e., it will send a notification that the weather is best for a basketball game if the phone learns the owner plays basketball.
9to5Google cited a leak that revealed a list of various features of the G4. It included:
- Color Spectrum Sensor: Ensure that images appear natural and vivid with an infrared sensor that analyzes and measures colors in a scene before a shot is snapped.
- Light Trail Effect: Set the G4's shutter to bulb to easily and artfully capture the blazing light trails of a night scene.
- Manual Mode: Turn every moment into a work of art by adjusting settings that allow for better low-light shooting, lightness and darkness tweaks, and freezing movement faster.
- Fastest AF Camera and OIS 2.0: Snap quick and clear pictures with the world's fastest auto-focus and an advanced image stabilizer that reduces shake.
- IPS Quantum Display: The 5.5" QHD screen utilizes an IPS Quantum Display to deliver brilliant, crisp images rich and authentic in color. Remarkably energy efficient, the screen is also easily visible even in bright light.
- Exude Style Handcrafted Designs: Unique, Stylish, and Elegant Inspired by artisanal precision, the P1's premium back covers come in metallic gray, ceramic white, shiny gold, and genuine leather.
