'James Bond: Spectre' Update: Daniel Craig returns after surgery; Action packed Opening Scene revealed

Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as Agent 007 in the latest offering from the James Bond film franchise. The movie titled Spectre will be the fourth movie for Craig as the suave talking secret agent. Shooting for the movie is now back in London and the star is also returning after going through an arthroscopic surgery to repair a knee injury. Craig sustained the injury while filming earlier this month.

James Bond Stunts

It was reported that the star did not miss any filming because of the injury. The surgery was done during a filming break. With the injury though, the actor was limited and had to have his body double doing all the running and other taxing activities. In a 2012 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Daniel Craig admitted that he does not do all of his stunts. He added though that he likes to do as much of the action scenes as he can. "But I like the fact that occasionally that you'll see on screen that it's my face and it's me," he said.

Opening Scene Teaser

Recent photos from the shooting location in Mexico City show what could be the opening sequence for the James Bond: Spectre and it has garnered a lot of attention and praise. It showed Bond battling a bad guy on a helicopter. It revealed that a stuntman was doing the fighting scene. The scene is reported to have started with a Day of the Death parade complete with great costumes and makeup.

Real Life Mission

Aside from being back shooting the new Bond film, Daniel Craig is also busy with other activities. He was recently named by the United Nations as the first global advocate for the elimination of mines and explosive hazards. He will be helping the U.N. Mine Action Service increase awareness about unexploded mines and the need to eliminate such threat.

Scheduled Release

The latest Bond film is set to be released early November this year. Starring alongside Daniel Craig are Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, and Ralph Fiennes reprising his role as the new M.
