Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed to host Saturday Night Live this coming May 2. There has been no official word yet however as to what gimmick she will be up to.
In the last episode of Saturday Night Live, it was announced that the actress will be the celebrity guest for May 2, a day after her movie Avengers: Age of Ultron is shown in the United States. A report says it also coincides with the celebration of Free Comic Book Day. The 30-year old actress is the second Avenger to host the program. Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor guested last March. This is not the first time though that the Lucy star will host the said show. In fact, she has hosted SNL for three times already, the last time was in 2010.
CLOSE TO THE 5-TIMERS CLUB
If Johansson gets to host another one after her May 2 hosting stint, she could be awarded the five-timers club. Fifteen personalities have been included in the said group and they are Candice Bergen, Chevy Chase, Danny DeVito, John Goodman, Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Alec Baldwin, Paul Simon, Elliot Gould, Drew Barrymore, Buck Henry, Justine Timberlake and Ben Affleck having hosted SNL for 5 times.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The long-running late night comedy variety show is known for its sketches (short scenes), parodies of political and other trending issues, as well as a musical performance. It is not yet known who the musical guest will be. Meanwhile, many reports say Scarlett Johansson might sport a Black Widow costume since the actress will host the show a day after the showing of Avengers.
What will Scarlett Johansson perform? Will she bring in her co-Avengers on the show? Her Saturday Night Live episode airs at 11:30 P.M. on NBC.
