Ryan Reynolds has been a victim of a hit and run incident at 7 in the evening on Friday in Vancouver, Canada. The paparazzi suspect, who could face different charges, is being held by authorities since Sunday.

According to a source, Reynolds was approached by the 52-year old British photographer, whose name is held until charges have been made, while he was alone at a secured underground carpark at Shangri-La Hotel. This resulted in a little clash. Police were quoted in saying that as the suspect was leaving the place, he hit Reynolds with his car. The actor supposedly suffered a sore knee and back. The paparazzi suspect from Richmond was identified through a CCTV footage with the help of interviews from the victim and some witnesses.

The suspect, who did not resist arrest, is currently detained at the police station since Sunday and will appear in court soon. The charges considered against the suspect are hit-and-run, assault, assault with a weapon and harassment. Intimidation charges have also been recommended awaiting evidence that the victim was indeed followed persistently and in a harassing way.

Another report says the suspect's car, which was used in hitting Ryan Reynolds while escaping from the carpark, has also been held by police. Reynolds was in Vancouver, his hometown, for a shoot of his latest movie Deadpool where he plays the lead character.

Meanwhile, a report says the arrested suspect is the same person who was allegedly involved in a previous brawl with celebrities. It says the paparazzi's victims were Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson although it did not say as to what exactly happened.

Ryan Reynolds has not made any statement yet about the details of the confrontation nor its motive. The hit and run victim though is up and about and has been back to filming since the day after the incident.
