LG G4 smartphone is revealed anew with details of its 5.5-inch Quad HD display through its first official video teaser. The clip published on Youtube by LG Mobile Global sheds light on what makes G4's panel unique among other brands in the market that has the same Quad HD display.
The South Korean tech giant vows a game changer smartphone device in the industry, boasting G4 with its one-of-a-kind Quad HD display. The teaser clip opens with a question: "Do you think all QHD displays are the same?"
As the clip progresses, it states the difference is obvious. Compared to previous LG mobile QHD display, the next-generation's display will be "25 percent brighter" and "20 percent wider color range." The device also boasts an IPS Quantum display.
Previously, G4 had already been announced to be launched on April 28, 2015. According to reports, some of the handset's features will be unveiled gradually before coming to the launch date.
As the clip ends, LG G4 was placed on the leather-like surface which might translate that the tech firm could be using a leather skin for the device. G4 has been reported to sport a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter. It will be powered by Android Lollipop with the new LG UX 4.0.
In another report, potential purchasers of G4 handsets might have the option to switch to Microsoft's Windows mobile operating system. LG has been reported to be working in the lab a smartphone that will rock a Windows OS. LG stopped manufacturing Windows-powered handset five years ago and gave full attention to Android phones.
According to Neowin, the reported Windows phone that will be crafted by LG will be for Verizon Wireless to release this year. First rumored last year under model name LG D635, the phone will sport a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, an LTE capability, and a front shooter camera.
However, LG has kept mum about this report.
