In music supremacy, "Rock Band 4" is considered to be one of the amazing games suited for music enthusiasts. Apparently, "Guitar Hero Live" is also on the way with new battle mechanics.
Both of these two game titles seem to co-exist with peace since they're both targeting the same type of gamers. Thus, they share same group of gamers and will be a bit of a challenge for the game developers in terms of leaving the best impression to their avid gamers as well as their personal comparisons to these two great gaming titles.
Surprisingly, these two good games shared same developer, Harmonix. They have developed the original concept for "Rock Band 4" and "Guitar Hero". The latter was published by Harmonix, contrasting Red Octane and Activision, which were believed to be "Guitar Hero's" publisher.
With that being said, fans of the two games, "Rock Band 4" and "Guitar Hero" must not expect a lot of differences since they share similar genre because they both rooted from Harmonix's original game design and mechanics.
Although both share similar qualities, "Rock Band 4" has more features than "Guitar Hero Live." Based on recent reports, they said that the former contained new updates particularly on the number of music in their library. Aside from the "immense library," gamers could also expect that advantage of their respective PSN/Xbox Liver user IDs to gain access to the plastic instruments as well.
On the other hand, overexposed features were the downside of "Guitar Hero" compared to "Rock Band". However, because of their tight competition as they have similar features for both of them, they would create a much more interesting rivalry.
If "Rock Band 4" has an upgraded library and instruments for the game, then the "Guitar Hero" DLC contains these, too. But the difference is that they have Sega CD/3DO flashbacks instead with a unique guitar button with unique layout, creating better appeal in terms graphic-visual presentation.
Meanwhile, "Guitar Hero Live" is a next-generation entry of FreeStyleGames, which features powerful gameplay. "Rock Band 4", on the side, features updated mechanics with best of the best band members of all time with 2K plus songs installed, downloadable as DLC content.
Slated for next-generation consoles, "Guitar Hero Live" and "Rock Band 4" will be hitting screens this year, while leaving "Rock Band 4's" official release date unannounced.
