The TV series "The Following" has always had a huge following ever since its debut in 2013. Three seasons in and the show is still getting good ratings. It might not have as many viewers as it once had but millions are still tuning in to see what will happen to the story's main characters.
The latest episode for the current season titled "Evermore" is scheduled to be shown on April 27. This will be a pivotal episode as the current season nears its end. The third season of this psychological thriller has a total of 15 episodes.
The 10th episode of the season will focus on the execution of Joe Carroll. Of course, this would not be a thriller if nothing of note happens during the moments leading to the execution. The team led by Kevin Bacon playing the role of Ryan Hardy knows this and are therefore on edge during the day of the execution.
Their worst fears seem to have come as a hostage situation at the prison had Ryan racing to deal with the problem and going in alone. Meanwhile, the whole world watches as they wait for Carroll's execution.
How will the hostage situation turn out? How will the day of execution end for Joe? These are just some of the questions that fans of the show are going to ask. The answers will be in the new episode which is only a few days away.
With reports that the show could be ending with the third season, fans should be on the edge of their seats. The remaining episodes could wrap it all up since several of the show's stars have already expressed sentiments about their future with the series.
Earlier this month, Valerie Cruz who portrays the character of Agent Mendez stated that she is ready for her character to be killed off as the season and possibly the series comes to an end.
