After a series of three occasions of being delayed, Project Cars will finally make its way into the market. The definite date for the Project Cars release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be on May 6 for the American Continents, May 8 for the U.K., and May 7 for other European Nations.
With only a few weeks left before the release, the game has unveiled a series of trailers, gameplay videos, and details of the things anticipating players should expect.
The reason behind the successions of postponement that drove the initial release in November to May was that Project Cars will be having the largest track roster than any game in the market. This led to a lot of things to iron out including bugs, game balances, and many more.
Moreover, the developer, Mad Studios, wanted to release the game in its polished state in which they compromised on moving the release date rather than having an unfinished game in the market that will most likely disappoint the audience and destroy the possibility of a follow-up to the game.
At launch, there will be a total of 110 courses set in 30 different locations. However, this will be further expanded through upcoming DLCs the developers impliedly stated in their announcement. Furthermore, the tracks are based on real locations around the world including Zhuhai International Circuit in China and Chesterfield in the United Kingdom.
In addition, the 110 courses was achieved since a single location will be having different layouts for certain types of races. For example, the California State Route will be having five different configurations. Nevertheless, it is still something worth looking forward.
In the meantime, versions for Wii U and Steam OS are still in development but is expected to make an appearance later this year. Though, as the Project Cars release for other platforms draws to a near, left out players cannot feel but jealous especially that it is considered as the most gorgeous racing game in 2015.
