Motorola Moto E (4G Version) smartphone has already reached the Indian market and is competing against the similarly specked Xiaomi Redmi 2. The flagship Moto E is available for purchase via Flipkart.
The second generation of the Moto E was introduced to India last week-roughly a month after its 3G predecessor was introduced. The 4G version is priced at Rs 7,999, Rs 1,000 more than the Redmi 2 at Rs 6,999 which shares majority of its specs, reported IBN Live. The 3G variant of the Moto E second-gen smartphone is also retailed at Rs 6,999.
As for the built and design, the Moto E 4G is identical to the 3G edition as it looks pebble-like with a rubberized back. It also has a textured edge which is made of plastic and a Gorilla Glass 3 screen. The users of the smartphone also have to option to give their device a different look with the use of bands, wrote International Business Times.
The Motorola is an affordable phone, and it means that you don't really get the same crisp in terms of screen resolution compared to its competitors. With this device, you will get a 4.5 qHD display with 960x540 pixels which is a poor choice when compared to most similarly priced smartphones which offer a 720p display. On the other hand, Xiaomi's Redmi 2 sports 4.7" display with higher pixel density at 720p, reported GSM Arena. It also has a better 8MP rear camera while the Moto E 4G has 5MP.
Probably one of the best things about the Moto E 4G is that it runs on an Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor for 4G LTE variant, reported IBT UK. It also has a good battery life according to various reviews which make it a great choice. Overall, Motorola Moto E 4G offers a decent usability in view of its price, but it's good to keep the options open as some others offer similar specs and even higher with a relatively lower price like the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
