Prince William may not be around when Kate Middleton delivers their second baby which is expected any day this month. The Duke of Cambridge is set to attend an important historical event in Turkey on April 25.
According to a report, the said date is the expected day of the royal baby's birth based on sources close to the Royal family. It quoted a palace spokesperson as saying that the Duke of Cambridge is committed on attending the 100th year commemoration of Anzac Day in Turkey which is also scheduled on April 25.
The said tribute is for 8000 Australians who died in the Gallipoli war during World War 1. Australia is still a member of the British commonwealth, hence the recognition. It is said that during that time, the Australian and New Zealand (Anzac) joined forces with France and Britain to invade Turkey.
The Prince's planned attendance of the said event was confirmed in a tweet by the Clarence House, the residence where the royal brothers grew up.
"The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry will attend a service at Helle's memorial for the Gallipoli100 commemorations (sic)," it said on Wednesday. It further announce both are also going to attend the international service at the Cannakale Martyr's Memorial.
Meanwhile, it has not been reported if Prince Harry will also be able to see his new nephew or niece in case her sister in law gives birth anytime soon. A source says the Prince is said to be back in Australia on April 27 (Monday) to continue his military work with the Australian Defense Force. He just returned to London from Australia on Sunday for the London Marathon wherein he is said to be Patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust.
Earlier reports have it that Prince William came home sooner than expected after finishing his helicopter training early which meant he would be able to be with Kate Middleton and their second baby. What could be done now is to just patiently wait for the coming of the royal baby whose final due date has not yet been confrmed.
