Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date, Specs: 5th Gen Note to Share S6's Curved Design? 6-Inch Ultra HD Display Possible

It may still be several months before we get a glimpse of the Galaxy Note 5, but plenty of speculations have already surfaced about what can be expected of Samsung's future flagship. Recent reports seem to agree that it's probable that the device will unveil in September. It is also believed to sport some of Samsung Galaxy S6's features, considering the positive reception of the users of Samsung's latest.

Although it's not yet confirmed, Korean news Daum is making predictions that Note 5 may actually arrive earlier by August. Its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, has undoubtedly relished much success in the Android landscape, and many users are committing themselves to waiting for the fifth generation of Note.

Samsung typically makes its announcement for its new Galaxy Note models at IFA, the grand trade show in Berlin, Germany. All of the company's major announcements for the coming of their Notes were announced during the start of the IFA, reported GottaBeMobile.

So far, the safest prediction made is that Samsung is most likely to announce it somewhere in September 1st to 4th, with IFA 2015 kicking off by September 4 in mind.

Several reports are expecting that Note 5 will share the design of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, in view of the of the extremely positive response that the S6 has received from the market, reported International Business Times.

Samsung's Executive Vice President Roh Tae-moon hinted about this possibility of a curved display.

"There is a possibility that Samsung will introduce the curved display for the Galaxy Note lineup," said Tae-moon, according to Korea Herald.

It looks like a beautiful screen is going to be one of the special things that Note 5 will have. It is believed that Samsung is crafting a 6-inch Ultra HD display with 700+ pixels per inch. Phone Arena also gave an analysis that that new Note will have 2160 × 3840 pixel resolution. As for its processor, it will be powered by Exynos 7420 SoC but with much higher capacity with high-density EPOP memory, which "combines 3GB LPDDR3 DRAM, 32GB eMMC (embedded multi-media card) and a controller."
