The Mario Kart 8 DLC pack 2 is now available for download.
This was confirmed just a little after 10AM London time today, 23-April. Once the game is opened, the DLC pack download update will be triggered and after that's done, nine new courses, three new characters, and four new vehicles will be accessible.
New vehicles include Bone Rattler, Ciy Tripper, P-Wing, and The Streetie.
The new characters are the Villager (boy and girl), Isabelle, and Dry Bowser.
The nine new courses are Animal Crossing, Big Blue, Super Bell Subway, Wild Woods, Baby Park (GCN), Cheese Land (GBA), Koopa City / Neo Bowser City (3DS), and Ribbon Road (GBA).
There are also eight new free Mii costumes that are activated by amiibo: Bowser, Mega Man, Olimar, Pac Man, Rosalina, Sonic, Toad, Villager, and Wario.
Another freebie of the pack is the 200cc racing, the fastest one introduced in the game so far.
All of the above-mentioned stuff will be unlocked for gamers who purchased the Mario Kart 8 DLC pack 2 individually or as part of a set. U.S. players can download update for US$7 or get a bundle that includes the previous "Legend of Zelda" DLC pack for US$11.99. The DLC pack can be acquired directly from the Nintendo eShop.
Meanwhile, Mario Kart 8 will undergo a scheduled system maintenance on the same day as the Mario Kart 8 DLC pack 2 becomes available.
While players will be able to use the offline mode without issues, the online for about an hour and ten minutes, so just be patient and wait for the maintenance to finish before downloading the new DLC.
Scheduled downtimes per region are as follows:
NA (PST): 00:50-02:00H
UK (BST): 08:50-10:00
JP (JST): 16:50-18:00H
All other regions, just convert the times since the maintenance is going to happen simultaneously.
