HTC One M10 Wireless Charging a Hoax? HTC Shows No Interest On Wireless Feature

By

Is HTC considering a wireless charging for their next flagship? Or is it another hoax? Online sources seem to agree that HTC is gearing up for the next big thing in their line of smartphones, but it seems that it shows no interest in going for wireless charging.

One news story claims that Howard Lee, Senior Director of Project Management and Electrical Structure at HTC, himself made the confirmation that wireless charging for the successor of the HTC One M9 is their latest offering to compete with Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge models, reported Latino Post.

As a disclaimer, the reporting website made an inside note that the information cannot be received with full confidence considering the fact the M9 has not even arrived in the market yet, so it's very unlikely that someone from the company would share such information.

Tech Radar commented that HTC cannot afford to start from scratch in terms of redesign just like what Samsung did with Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. HTC remains conservative in terms of their flagship devices, so far. The truth is that the company hasn't really shown much fervor about the wireless charging except for some of their phone accessories. We can only hope that Samsung's feat will also spur them into more innovation.

HTC One M9 flaunts good design and undeniably loaded with plenty of commendable specs. M10 is expected to launch by November and to be released the following year. Based on some analyses, the smartphone will have a 145 x 70 x 10 mm structure with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, which is believed to deliver a better performance.

Rumors claim that HTC One M10 will come much more refined in terms of design with a slimmer metallic build-it is this metal build that is perceived as a challenge for wireless charging. It will also house plenty of superb features and users will have three color options: silver, black, and grey.
