Dying Light PC players can now create their own Dying Light content with the use of the new modding Developer Tools. Players are also looking forward to the upcoming Bozak Horde DLC that Techland promises to arrive sometime in May.
It is most often the creativity of the players in creating mods for open world games that determines its long-term success. Dying Light developer Techland decided to create developer tools that would allow modding the game as they called out for mod tool suggestions for the game last February. Three months after its release, Techland has officially announced that the modding tools for Dying Light is now available exclusively for the PC version only. The developer tools can be downloaded via Steam for free by all owners of the game.
The announcement was made in the form of a press release issued by Techland which states that PC players will now be able to play the role of game designers in the open world of Harran and create their own quarantine zones, maps, stories, and custom scenarios. Players will also be able to easily upload and share their creations with the entire Steam community with the use of the Steam Workshop platform.
Techland announced three expansion packs for Dying Light last February as they released the first one, Cuisine & Cargo. The second one came last March and is named the Ultimate Survivor Bundle. The last one, to come this May, is the Bozak Horde.
This DLC puts players in the Harran Stadium where they will face waves of enemies in increasing difficulty. The ultimate battle or the boss fight will be against a mysterious psycopath called Bozak. As of now, a specific release date has not yet been announced, only that the expansion pack will come in May.
An awaited DLC of Dying Light came from a leaked video which teased dune buggies, crossbows, and new maps. However, Techland has not confirmed anything. For now, players will enjoy the game by creating their own versions of Harran with the new modding developer tools for PC and with the upcoming Bozak Horde DLC.
