'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' features great graphics without the burden of long loading times

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is being billed as one of the most beautifully rendered games to ever be released, but even with the gorgeous graphics, the game is not expected to burden people with a lot of loading time.

Loading times will still be present in the game, but they will be limited to only a few specific scenarios and situations. There will be loading times when people start or continue the game from a saved file, and there will also be loading time when a player dies.

The only other situation in which loading time is expected to be present is when players are using the fast travel option, and at that point, the length of the time needed will depend on how much distance is being covered, according to senior environmental artist Jonas Mattsson in his interview with Gamespot.

The prevalence of loading time in the game, or lack thereof, would be a welcome development given the immense space the players are given, and Mattsson said the main reason why the development team sought to eliminate the interruptions was because they could take players out of their experience.

If the claim regarding loading times holds true then it would be in stark contrast to other popular games to have come out of the genre, most notably "Skyrim," which was notorious for all of its many loading screen opportunities.

The absence of consistenly appearing loading screens would make "The Witcher 3" more similar to "Grand Theft Auto V" in that they are both games which feature great graphics without being plagued by loading times, according to Gamerant.

In related news, a new yet unofficial gameplay video for the game has also been released recently courtesy of YouTube user "ImAnderZEL," according to WCCF Tech. The trailer is shown operating at ultra settings on only one GTX 980. Fans should take the time to watch video simply because it provides a sneak preview into what the ultra settings will be like.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will be released on May 19, 2015 for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
