Cheapest Lumia Smatphone in India will be Available by May? Lumia 540, Lumia 430 Dual SIM Named as the Low-Cost Handset to be introduced at Microsoft's Launching Event Tomorrow?

A cheapest Lumia smartphone is set for an arrival in Indian market by May. Tomorrow Microsoft will hold a launching for that low-cost Windows phone as it has sent out invites today for the launching of the most affordable Windows phone in India. Which handset it is wasn't revealed yet.

Two low-cost Lumia phone models have been named by two separate news agency sites, and each has made claims that apparently sound valid. BGR has named the Lumia 540 to be the star in tomorrow's launch event, claiming that Microsoft mentioned its May release at an affordable price of $149 (Rs 9,500 approximately). GizBot, on the other hand, has suggested Lumia 430 Dual SIM which is the cheapest Lumia handset Microsoft launched in March this year.

Both handsets run on Windows 8.1 and each will receive the Windows 10 update once it is released in the market. For the devices' specs, the Lumia 540 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal memory which can be boosted up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device offers several connectivity issues, including 3G support, dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery and features 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The Lumia 430 smaprtphone is a 4-inch WVGA display, a dual-core Snapdragon 200 CPU paired with 2GB of RAM. An 8GB internal memory is available, and a microSD slot for expansion storage. The device is powered by a 1500mAh battery and features a VGA 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Microsoft has launched the Lumia 430 this March with less fun fare. Since it is aimed at emerging markets, Microsoft vowed to make this device the most affordable Windows Phone 8.1-powered device.

The Lumia Microsoft 640 XL which was released in India earlier this month has also arrived in UK via Microsoft stores. For a priced of £219, and a 5.7-inch 720p display larger than Nokia smartphones, this device makes a good choice for mid-range handsets running on Windows OS.

There is of course a chance that Microsoft will release something unexpected tomorrow. As far as its invitation's headline is concerned, there is one certain thing the brand's supporters can hold on. That is, the cheapest Lumia smartphone is coming their way this May.
