With the hype around the "House of Wolves" expansion for "Destiny" continuing to grow with each passing day, fans are getting even more reasons to wait with bated breath as the game's developer has revealed new content is coming to the Crucible.
The first of the three new maps is Widow's Court, and it takes players all the way to the European Dead Zone found on Earth. Next up is Thieves' Den, a map set in Venus which is designed to situate players close to each other as they engage in combat. Last of the three is Black Shield, a map which will take players all the way to Phobos, one of the moons of Mars, for the first time, according to Polygon.
Aside from the three new maps for the game's Crucible mode, there is also one additional map that will be available only on Playstation 3 and 4. The additional map, known as Timekeeper, is yet another close quarter area located inside a structure with Vex origins on the planet of Mars, according to Playstation Lifestyle.
"House of Wolves" will bring more than just new maps to Crucible when it is finally released. Thanks to the upcoming expansion, players will also be able to obtain double the amount of engrams and marks from Crucible matches.
Players will also be receiving guaranteed rewards by just simply playing the daily featured game of "Destiny," according to the official Playstation Blog. One last extra bit of new content coming via the expansion will be the "Trials of Osiris," a new weekly event that provides players with unique challenges and rewards.
This new game mode is basically a 3v3 elimination competition wherein the first team to claim five rounds is declared the winner. Access to the "Trials of Osiris" can be gained via quests given by NPCs in the new social space, The Reef, also set to be introduced in "House of Wolves," according to Gamespot.
"Trials of Osiris" begins on Friday and ends on Sunday of each week.
"House of Wolves" will be available starting May 19.
