'Tekken 7' Character Update: Gigas unleashed as classic characters join the roster; Game slated for Xbox One, PS4 release

Gigas is now unleashed in Tekken 7 as the latest fighter to join the exciting fighting game this month. Fans are still expecting classic characters to return in the game's roster as they await an Xbox One and PS4 Release this year

Tekken has been around for 20 years, and it has garnered a remarkable streak in the gaming industry to date. This week highlights the release of a new fighter that players can try out. Gigas is the newest addition to the Tekken 7 Fighters roster. He is a big, hulking mass of fierce power and electricity. With electric nodes all over this giant's body, rigged with daunting tubes running through them, and that ominous looking helmet, Gigas appears to hold a good resemblance to Batman's nemesis Bane. No doubt this new character will hold a power punch against any opponent.

New popularity ranking for existing Tekken 7 characters for April have been released. Namco uses an online connected system to all the arcades carrying the game. It's a lengthy process that takes a month to collate. This month, it shows that King is still a popular character among players, but have yet to incorporate the new Gigas character to the release.

Well-known characters that have yet to appear in the game but appeared in the full trailer include Christie Monteiro, Jinpachi Mishima, Miguel, Tougou, and Wang Jinrei. Fans also expect characters like Nina Williams and Yoshimitsu who are standard Tekken characters to appear, but has yet to be announced. Kuma, Mokujin and an Unknown Jack are also teased within the game itself.

Gigas will unleash his wrath in the King of Iron Fist Tournament this month as he joins the latest roster of Tekken 7 characters. Fans are still hopeful that their favorite classic characters will join the Tekken 7 character List. A lot of players are also waiting for the Xbox One and PS4 release this 2015 yet Bandai Namco has to anounce an official statement with regard to this.
