Batman Arkham Knight developers reveal playable Batgirl to be included in DLC

By

After Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios received heaps of criticism for what fans perceive a way too expensive DLC season pass, the game's publisher and developer hoped to curb the negative press by revealing a playable version of Batgirl will be found in the DLC.

Both parties were crticized for revealing a $40 DLC season pass for the game while providing very little detail about what it may actually contain, according to Gamespot. Warner Bros. has since offered their own thoughts on the negative press surrounding their DLC decision.

"We've heard from our community that you want more information on what we'll be delivering in the Season Pass. While we aren't ready to unveil every aspect of the content we'll be developing, we would like to share more detail now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass," said Warner Bros.

Batgirl will be playable in a prequel story expansion for the game. This will also mark the first time in the franchise that Batgirl will be a playable character, according to PC Gamer.

New missioms involving the Caped Crusader himself will also be added to the game via The Season of Infamy included in the DLC. In addition to the new missions, new gameplay features are also expected to be included here.

Gotham City Stories is yet another addition, and this one will allow players to get to know Batman's allies better as they become the main playable characters in a variety of different missions, according to Express UK. Different kinds of Batmobiles along with uniquely-themed tracks will also be found in the Season Pass.

New challenge maps are also coming in the Season Pass to provide additional missions for Batman and his allies to take down. New character skins will also be available for Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman thanks to the Season Pass.

Batman Arkham Knight will be released on June 23 for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
