Google's upcoming Nexus 2015 is going to have "game-changer" features that will include subscription to Project Fi, ability to run applications at 120 fps, 4x faster page loading, increased actual page viewing by 50%, and many more.
Only the Nexus 6 and Nexus 2015 devices can subscribe to Project Fi. With that, Nexus owners will enjoy reduced data billing, seamless Wi-Fi, and the option to switch between networks from a profile of 10 companies.
The smartphone rumored to be the next Google Nexus is LG G4, which has a QHD resolution, IPS Quantum display, and others.
Google Nexus 2015 offers Project Fi subscription
Latest data from Google showed that 9.7% are now running the latest Android Lollipop, and the version that is still widely used by Android device owners is the Android Kitkat 4.4, represented by 39.8%.
One of the smartphones running the latest Android version is the Motorola Nexus 6, which is going to be the required device to subscribe in Google's Project Fi. Further, it is expected that the upcoming Nexus 2015 would also be used. However, Nexus 6 and Nexus 2105 owners still need an invitation to gain access in it. Once subscribed, owners would be able to have the following benefits in Google's Project Fi:
- Billing by megabyte: Nexus 6 and 2015 owners will be charged for the precise amount for cellular data used. Example, 501 megabytes would cost just about $5.01/month.
- Seamless Wi-Fi: Nexus 6 and 2015 devices would automatically switch from a cellular tower to a free Wi-Fi connection that has a signal strong enough to stream video and music.
- Bridging devices: Users can send and receive texts, make or receive calls from any Google Nexus devices, especially to Nexus 6 and 2015 units.
- Network Jumping: Nexus 6 and 2015 owners will be allowed to switch between networks by two different carriers from a profile of 10 different networks. This will be stored in an identification or SIM in the Nexus device.
Google Nexus 2015 runs Android 5.5/6.0 with "game-changer" features
In addition to that, Google is also set to release a new Android version, either 5.5 or 6.0, that will run the forthcoming Google Nexus 2015. The features that the latest Android version will include three "game-changers":
- The next-generation Nexus devices or the 2015 Nexus units would be able to run applications at 120 fps (frames per second) through DART.
- 2015 Nexus devices would implement transcoding, which would boost page loading of up to four times, increased actual page viewing by at least 50%, and reduce data usage by 80%.
- Improved in-house Android apps such as Gmail and Calendar.
The rumored device that will sport these game-changers points to LG's G4, where Google would base the design of their Nexus 2015 smartphone. The G4 has a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 with IPS Quantum display, and color spectrum sensor.
Google's upcoming Nexus 2015 devices are set to be released between October and November.
