"House of Cards" Season 3 splits Fans' views; Season 4 will mark Underwood's downfall

Still running on the internet-based channel Netflix, House of Cards is going to start Season 4's production date next month. The third season caught much the fans' attention, and the web series had mixed reviews from those who watched it.

Season 3 focused on Frank Underwood (Kevin Stacey) and Claire (Robin Wright)'s failing relationship. The showrunner and screenwriter Beau Willimon wants to explore the emotional aspects and dive into the story of the couple's marriage. 'Much of the strength from "House of Cards" stems to the marriage and digging into it meant that "there's no turning back," Willimon acknowledged during an interview.

While fans were split during the season 3's flow, Willimon understands their sentiments, and would like to hear their ideas regarding the web drama. But then, he stated that he will not make a season of House of Cards that came from the opinions of fans, but then he said he might consider their views.

"I think there were a lot of fans that appreciated that. And for a lot of them, this turn that we took made it their favorite season," Willimon said. "There were people who wanted to see the Underwoods kick butt in their usual fashion," he added.

According to iDigital, Season 4 will focus on Frank Underwood's downfall, revolving around his end of being the President of the United States of America. Also, familiar faces from the first and second seasons might be back in the show. Constance Zimmer's coming back, played by Janine Skorsky will play a major role n the upcoming season. She will dig out stories and facilitate the downfall of Frank Underwood.

Fans are anxious that the fourth season might be more on politics, which might leave the murder drama behind. The airing of House of Cards Season 4 was said to be around the presidential election.
