‘Ant-Man’ Movie Cast Update: New Characters revealed in Latest Poster as Marvel compares movie to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

Marvel compares "Ant-Man" to "Guardians of the Galaxy" with its newly released poster. The poster included all the cast of the new superhero movie, revealing new characters played by Bobby Cannavale and Michael Peña.

The new poster of "Ant-Man" sees the size-shifting superhero at the center while beside him is Paul Rudd who plays Scott Lang, the human alter-ego of the new Marvel superhero. The poster also featured new characters in the movie who will be played by Bobby Cannavale and Michael Peña.

Bobby Cannavale plays Paxton in "Ant-Man," a cop engaged to Scott Lang's ex wife, played by Judy Greer. Rudd was the one who convinced Cannavale to accept a role in Marvel's new movie. The actors are good friends in real life, which made the decision easy for Cannavale.

"He (Paul Rudd) called me up and he's like, 'Dude, they want you to play this part. You should come out. It's just me and you in all of the scenes.' It was kind of easy for me to do," revealed the "Boardwalk Empire" actor.

Another new face revealed in the poster is Michael Peña, who plays one of the tree characters that helps Scott Lang complete his mission. He will be joined by David Dastmalchian and rapper T.I. in the group which they call "Ant-Man" crusaders.

Marvel Studios also included the phrase "From the Studio that brought you Guardians of the Galaxy," which somehow compares "Ant-Man" to the movie. The comparison makes sense however, since like the "Guardians," the new superhero is also not as popular as the other Marvel characters. Still, the studio is confident with "Ant-Man" as they allowed it to cap their Phase 2.

Also in the poster is Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Evangeline Lily, who stars as Hope Van Dyne, and Corey Stoll, who will fight against Rudd's "Ant-Man" as Yellowjacket.

The new "Ant-Man" poster included its entire cast member and even revealed new characters, which will be played by Bobby Cannavale and Michael Peña. Marvel also linked the movie with "Guardians of the Galaxy," one of their lesser-known properties that still became a hit, somehow wishing that "Ant-Man" will also see the same fate.
