iPhone 6S Release Date, Specs, Rumors: New Smartphone Features Force Touch Tech and Improved Touch ID

Shall we have the iPhone 6S soon? Apple's next flagship smartphone is rumored to feature Force Touch technology and an improved Touch ID.

It was somewhere in September of 2014 when Apple unveiled iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, thus iOS fans are once again very eager as what might be in store for them this year. Although we cannot be certain yet whether Apple will baptize their next flagship as 6S, Samsung seems to make fun of the idea with Samsung Galaxy S6 appearing on the top searches for iPhone 6s, noted MacWorld.

So, what do we know so far? According to TechNews, the Force Touch display may arrive soon to iPhone. It will be same technology that crafted the new MacBook's Force Trackpad. The same technology is also shared by the Apple Watch.

The Force Touch, which will be employed on the screen of iPhone 6S, will completely redefine the level of interaction between the smartphone and its user. It will then have the capacity to differentiate between taps and presses. As for the materials to be used, it will be crafted 7000 series aluminum, which iPhone 6S will share with Apple Watch Sport. The idea is to make it durable and scratch resistant without making it heavy, reported UDN.

We also have a good reason to believe that Apple will take its Touch ID capacity to the next level. Currently, the fingerprint sensor is located beneath the home button. However, in view of their latest patent, Apple is showing interest in having it built-in to the display with enhanced security feature through multiple fingers detection capacity and even the palm.

Apple is also known for the best cameras in their smartphones. For their next flagship, the camera will be even better, reported Tom's Guide. Their latest patent, the "digital camera with light splitter," has the ability to split light into green, red, and blue components, eliminating the need for color filters. The resulting photos will be clearer with admirable crisp.

As for iPhone 6S's release date, it is assumed that Apple will continue to observe its release schedule history, meaning that it will be in September 2015. Also, if the rumors are true, Apple will opt for 2 smartphone releases to keep up with its aggressive rivals like Samsung, HTS, Sony, and LG, among others.
