Silent Hills P.T. demo is now officially erased from existence. After news that Hideo Kojima will exit Konami after Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is released, the game company started a systemized destruction of everything Kojima.
After the release of the P.T. demo, many are impressed at how good the game was. The graphics, atmosphere and horror was presented very well that many are hoping for the full game to be finally released. However, because of the rift between Kojima and Konami because of a power struggle in which details are still undisclosed, Silent Hills is done for.
The news of Konami pulling the plug on Silent Hills reverberated throughout the internet. Kotaku posted an article ranting how "Konami Sucks" Though the article had its full share of four letter vulgarities, it does emphatically display the inner feelings of gamers disappointed by pulling the plug on Silent Hills.
However according to Polygon, Konami's destruction of Silent Hills will make Kojima into a martyr. Konami may go down in gaming history as the company that killed Silent Hills and turn its P.T. demo into one of the rarest and most sought after game in the future. Konami's higher-ups seemed too concentrated on ridding everything that bears the name of Kojima that they apparently failed to see how the gaming community would react.
However, Konami finally showed that their priorities was elsewhere. Recently they made every effort to release their new clothing line by marketing Metal Gear Solid 1984 Collections, but sent out mixed signals to fans. Fans ridicule the fact that after destroying a legendary game franchise by halting the development of Silent Hills, they poured every effort to turn the game company into a retail, dress shop.
If the decision to turn the company into a clothes store banking on the Metal Gear Solid franchise so irritated Kojima, no one can tell, but with the number of rumors going about over the internet, it is not that far-fetched.
