Marvel is already gearing up for their Phase 3 as it chooses Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to pen the "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2." It was reported that the 2-part superhero movie will be based on "The Infinity Gauntlet" storyline that will ensure a grand battle involving tons of superheroes.
The story of the two "Avengers: Infinity War" movies will now depend on Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as the two were tapped to write the last offering of MCU's Phase 3. Both Markus and McFeely are very familiar with the MCU Phases since they were also the people behind the screenplay of the "Captain America" threequel.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige proudly announced the inclusion of Markus and McFeely in writing the Avengers's most epic battle.
"Chris and Steve have been an integral part of the Marvel family since the early days of Phase 1, and their work speaks for itself," said Feige.
One report noted that "The Infinity Gauntlet" storyline could be the basis of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely in writing the script of "Avengers: Infinity War." In the comics, Thanos has been hell-bent to complete the six Infinity Gems for decades. He was able to find all of them in "The Infinity Gauntlet" and proceed to please Death by erasing half of all life in the universe. A horde of Marvel heroes were only able to defeat him when he took the gauntlet off.
The second part of "Avengers: Infinity War" will be closing the 11-year story that MCU started when "Iron Man" was released in 2008. Marvel fans can expect new stories or set of Avengers after the culmination of Phase 3 on 2019.
There is really a huge pressure on Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely's shoulders to make an incredible conclusion to MCU's Phase 3. "Avengers: Infinity War" will not just end a phase but an 11-year story built by Marvel. The storyline of "The Infinity Gauntlet," once translated to the big screen could surely make a good cinematic experience for the Marvel fans.
