Bungie continues to roll out updates and expansions for Destiny, not to mention, Destiny 2, the sequel to the well-received title being on the way possibly sooner than you might think. The developer has reportedly signed a multi-title contract with Activision of a 10- year lockdown exclusivity and hinted what the fans can expect from the second installment.
Back in December last year, DeeJ - the community manager at Bungie stated, "For 'destiny 2,' the idea is that the guardian that you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure. If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they've had a relationship with the same character for a very long time.
It's a lot of fun to walk around the studio because there's always somebody thinking about visions for the future. The next place you'll go, the next enemy that you'll fight, the next thing you'll earn for doing those things."
Reportedly, Activision, the publisher of Destiny, has dropped hints that other than House of Wolves DLC come May 19, gamers can look also forward to another release relating to the game this fall or Q4 2015 which is speculated to be Destiny 2.
Meanwhile, Bungie has recently announced new details and latest update about the game's new Prison of Elders co-op arena included in the upcoming expansion this May 19.
Gamespot noted that the Gears of War-style mode is but one of Destiny: House of Wolves DLC's many new offerings. The expansion also features more multiplayer maps, new weapons, and a 3v3 mode called Trials of Osiris.
The site added citing that Destiny gamers will be receiving a new weapon type, sidearms, announced by Bungie announced during Prison of the Elders livestream last week. Siderarms will act as secondary weapons that add elemental damage and a very high rate of fire. The Vestian Dynasty sidearm, for example, displays high stability and reload stats.
