‘Captain America: Civil War’ Casts Martin Freeman; Award–winning Actor to Portray Government Liaison with Dark Motive?

"Captain America: Civil War" adds "The Hobbit" actor Martin Freeman to its list of additional cast to the already crowding characters making it resemble "Avengers" movies.

Producer Kevin Feige praises Freeman upon his entrance to the Marvel Universe saying, "From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in 'The Office,' Martin's range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us."

The award - winning actor is widely recognized for his acting skills receiving Primetime Emmy Award and a BAFTA Award, both for his portrayal of Doctor John Watson in "Sherlock." Martin has also been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role of Lester Nygaard in "Fargo."

"We couldn't be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe," confesses Feige in reference to Freeman.

Although Marvel expressed their appreciation for his casting as part of "Captain America: Civil War", his role has not been publicized yet, driving the fans wild on what he might be taking in the plot of the upcoming movie.

Freeman's humor as an actor also equaled to goofy fans joking for him to be "Spiderman" or "Captain Britain" though shocking as it might seem, those are not impossible to happen given that Marvel is not disclosing anything and Freeman just simply has the capacity for such roles albeit in a lighter and funnier version.

On a more serious note, Screen Rant theorizes that because the plot of the movie focuses on the regulation of the superheroes of the world, then Freeman might be playing as a government agent, a liaison who actually has a dark motive. He may be helping the villain Baron Zemo, portrayed by Daniel Brühl, to beat Captain America. In case you missed him in "Fargo", Freeman can play as an evil character, too.

Whether he will be a new superhero or an agent, fans are anticipating splutters of sexy British English and excellent acting skills from Martin Freeman together with his pal and Sherlock co-star, Benedict Cumberbatch, who also entered "Captain America: Civil War" that will be released on May 6, 2016 on various theaters across the globe.
