Director Bryan Singer of "X-Men: Apocalypse" has been releasing teasers for the upcoming movie franchise's ominous title villain to confirm production kick-start, movie theme, and characters that will take part in the film.
Singer's most recent teaser is an image implying "a world ending event," a theme that is fitting to a seemingly omnipotent villain that is Apocalypse. As the ultimate fittest himself, he believes that everyone is ultimately disposable. That's not to mention that Apocalypse feed on the thought that mutants are destined to inherit the Earth.
"In X-Men: Days of Future Past" post-credit teaser, worshippers are chanting the name, En Sabah Nur, which means "The First One." According to a post, this is Apocalypse real name and it refers to him as one of the first mutants in human history. En Sabah Nur was born to an Egyptian paraoh who was actually an alien from the future. With the help of alien technology, he was able to augment his body and abilities until he becomes Apocalypse.
The director also posted a sneak peek of Jean Grey and Jubilee, who are played by Sophie Turner and Lana Condor respectively. The two characters will be shown in the '80s. Cyclops and Storm are also being rumored to appear in their teens in this upcoming movie.
The appearance of Cyclops and Havok's parents has also been revealed. Havok's character (who is also known as Alex Summers) will be played by Lucas Till, while Cyclop's younger version will be played by Scott Summers.
The photo's caption "the end of the world as they know it" is in reference to the film the Summers are watching. Singer posted the photo on his Instagram page, with the following caption: "Parents of #ScottSummers #Cyclops and #AlexSummers #Havok watch the end of the world as they know it unfold on TV #XMEN #XMenApocalypse #3ALITYTechnica."
Actors that will be returning to the X-Men:Apocalypse movie include James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Rose Byrne Moira McTaggart, Lucas Till and Nicholas Hoult.
The X-Men: Apocalypse movie is also likely to emphasize Apocalypse's Four Horsemen, known as Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War. These four elements come with comparable mutant powers, but who will be serving those positions could be another thing that will be revealed by the director via a sneak peek spoiler. Wolverine, Angel, Banshee and Gambit have all served as various Horsemen. Given this lack of fixed positions suggest of some interesting plot twist coming for the upcoming X-Men movie?
