While others are still hyped upon the release of Disney Infinity last September in several parts of America, Europe and Australia, Disney Interactive has finally launched Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, also marketed for release as Disney Infinity 2.0, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) and Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes, on Playstation Vita Saturday last week, March 9.
The pack was first released last September 23in North America, September 19 in the United Kingdom, and on September18 in Australia, Asia and the rest of Europe, on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Now PlayStation Vita is added on the list.
The pack offered multiple plots. The Avengers Playset was led by Loki and MODOK in the attempt to rebuilt the Casket of Ancient Winters, helped by the Frost Giants to freeze to New York. We cannot leave of course Iron Man, Black Widow and Thor as playable characters
The Spiderman Playset, which was inspired by the Ultimate Spider-man, was plotted by Green Goblin and Mysterio's cloning of Venom symbiote and subsequently launching an invasion.
While the Guardians of the Galaxy Playset, probably the newest addition to the DC universe, was coursed on the Guardian's heist over the Infinity Stone from Ronan. As Ronan attempts an attack to planet Knowhere, following the Guardians, with the help from Cosmo the Spacedog and the Collector, the Guardians must protect the planet, by fighting against the Sakaaran fleet and Ronan's ship, the Dark Aster.
But it didn't end there, several more characters were added to the game as it follows very much on the main idea of interactive heroic and villainous worlds. Other new characters were Merida from Brave, Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, Maleficent, Tinker Bell, Donald Duck, Baymax and Hiro Hamada from Big Hero Six, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, and Crystal Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey.
And while we are still enjoying the diversity laid to us, executive producer John Vignocchi is open to the probability of adding Star Wars and Indiana Jones to the set, and just recently it has been confirmed--Star Wars fans shouldn't wait anymore. And more to that, Disney had also announced the follow-up of Disney Infinity 3.0, for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, iOS, PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 some later time this year.
