CBS's TV adaptation of Neil Burger's 2011 movie "Limitless" is gets Bradley Cooper to reprise his role as Eddie Morra. Cooper will appear in the procedural series as U.S. Senator that guides the NZT drug protégé played by Jake McDorman.
The small screen version of "Limitless" was first announced in 2013 and now it is really taking shape with Bradley Cooper's inclusion. Cooper originally starred in the 2011 movie as Eddie Morra, an unmotivated author who discovers the power of the NZT drug. When Morra took the pill, he instantly becomes the world's smartest man. Later in the film however, he realizes the downside of taking the mysterious drug. By the end of the film, Morra becomes a successful writer running for a U.S. Senate position
The Coop reprises his role in the television series to guide Brian Finch, played by Jake McDorman, while he discovers the complicated world of NZT drug. Morra is now a presidential hopeful and regular NZT user. FBI will learn about Finch's drug-enhanced abilities and will coerce him to solve cases for them. Naturally, Finch and Morra will hide their working relationship from the authorities.
Bradley Cooper was initially approached to just guest star in the pilot episode of the "Limitless" TV version, directed by Marc Webb. But the "Hangover" actor intends to appear in the show when his schedule allows him.
CBS has already released a trailer for the new crime thriller series that shows Morra explaining the NZT drug to Finch. It also sees "Dexter" star Jennifer Carpenter and "Covert Affairs" alum Hill Harper as the FBI agents working with Jake MacDorman's character.
