A new rumor has just popped up regard Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to the latest reports, Darkseid may feature in a cameo at the end of the film. Darkseid, of course, is a classic DC Comics villain and has long been associated with the film via various rumors.
Darkseid is one of the New Gods and the ruler of the planet Apokolips, one of the most powerful villains in the DC Comics universe. Not only is the character immortal, but he also holds super strength and can fire Omega Beams out of his eyes, making him a powerful foe that can stand up to even Superman.
According to the rumors, Lex Luthor's presence in Batman vs Superman may eventually lead to Darkseid in the DC Universe, and the character may also feature in Justice League and possibly a Green Lantern solo film. It's worth noting that there's been no casting announcements for Darkseid in Batman vs Superman, which may mean that either the character has no dialogue (think Thanos at the end of The Avengers), or that Warner Bros is playing a potential Darkseid cameo extremely close to the chest.
If he really is a part of the film, of course.
In other Batman vs Superman news, new Wonder Woman concept art has sparked rumors that Wonder Woman's costume from Batman vs Superman will be the same costume she will wear in the upcoming Wonder Woman solo film, which will be directed by Patty Jenkins. It's not yet known how much of a role Wonder Woman will play in Batman vs Superman, but given the amount of concept art that's appeared already, it seems increasingly likely that her part is fairly significant. Keep an eye out for her when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
