Batman Arkham Knight set to feature anti-gun gadget for the Caped Crusader

By

Batman is certainly famous for his wide array of crime-fighting gadgets, and there looks to be one more being added to the collection for Batman: Arkham Knight. Since cool-sounding gadgets are the norm for the Caped Crusader, it's not at all surprising to learn that his new toy is known as The Disruptor.

The actual in-game description for the new gadget is a bit vague, saying only that it is for bolstering Batman's power over engagements, which could easily be interpreted to mean a lot of things. The Disruptor has four basic functions plus another one that is accessible after it is upgraded, according to Gamespot.

Its first function is to jam enemy weapons so that Batman won't even have to bother dodging through a hail of gunfire. Its second function is to blow up the enemies' weapons themselves, while the third way it can be used is to charge crates or containers to prevent Batman's enemies from even getting their hands on these weapons.

The Disruptor can also be used to launch homing devices for tracking enemy vehicles. Lastly, this new gadget once upgraded can even be used to manipulate tanks and turrets, according to Playstation Lifestyle. In related news, Batman isn't the only one getting a new toy, as fans of the video game franchise can also take home their own action figures to commemorate its impending finish.

Some of the characters who have received the action figure treatment include Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman, among others, according to Comic Book Resources. The three figures mentioned here are part of Wave 2 of the collectibles, with the first one already including Batman and even the Arkham Knight.

The individual action figures are sold at $24.99 a piece, so those looking to complete the whole set are going to need to save up. As for Batman: Arkham Knight the video game, it will make its debut on June 23.
