‘Captain America: Civil War’ Update: Set Photos Reveal Black Panther’s Wakanda; Chris Evans, Emily VanCamp Spotted in a Funeral

By

While the actors for Marvel's current flagship "Avengers: Age of Ultron" still haven't taken a breather, they are back again for the filming in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War," and as the cameras are rolling, new set images have leaked on the Web featuring Black Panther's African nation of Wakanda. Another set of images were also uncovered showcasing Chris Evans and Emily VanCamp shooting a funeral scene.

The said set photos were disclosed to Twitter by a user @ATLWOOD411. Reports claim that they feature the fictional country of Wakanda, which was already seen in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron." As shown, the portraits mainly illustrate what looks like a makeshift shantytown and is reportedly being used in the filming of "Captain America: Civil War."

To give a brief recap, the fictional African city of Wakanda is the home country of Prince T'Challa, also known as Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Last year, it was announced that Boseman would star on his solo film as the African hero in 2018. But before his major flick, he will be initially introduced to the third "Cap" film.

Moreover, joining Chadwick Boseman in the film is Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), who was reported to be locking horns with the prince of Wakanda. According to Latino Review's Umberto Gonzalez, there will be a huge fight between these two superheroes. And since the third "Captain America" movie revolves around a faction divided because of a superhero registration act, rumors suggest that Hawkeye will be siding with Captain America. Steve Rogers joins as the leader of the side that counters this law, while Tony Stark rules the pro-registration party.

However, the disclosure of the supposed city of Wakanda has earned reactions from fans. Many agree that this is not the Wakanda portrayed from the comics, wherein the description suggests that it is not some slum located in the bowels of Africa, but a high-tech nation veiled away in the jungle, reports Indie Wire. Furthermore, an image has also emerged that features Cap in full costume alongside with Sharon Carter/Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp) attending a funeral. It was believed to be a scene that indicates death of elderly Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).

Joe and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to release on May 6, 2016. Aside from the leads, most of Marvel's superheroes will be returning back or will be having a debut including Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Vision (Paul Bettany), and War Machine (Don Cheadle). Spider-Man is also believed to appear in the film.

Very well, since Spider-Man will be having a cameo here in the third "Cap" film, who do you think fits the role? And, do you believe that this is the real city of Wakanda and not something else entirely? Which side are you on between Rogers and Stark? Make sure to drop in some comments below.
