The film adaptation of 'Warcraft' will be released the same year as Marvel's Captain America and DC's Batman v Superman in 2016. Fans may think that Legendary Pictures has been left behind in the marketing trail then they better start pondering especially with what the studio has recently unleashed.
Debuting via Wired.com, actor Robert Kazinsky is an unfamiliar sight as a menacing orc in these two still images courtesy of Academy Award winning visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic. The 31-year-old English actor will be portraying Orc warchief Orgrim Doomhammer. Director Duncan Jones has this to say about Jones' authentic transformation, "We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely."
Gamers and movie-goers are in for a long threat as the effects company has merged photos of the actor and the concept art from the video game makers Blizzard Entertainment. This will be the same route reserved for the other actors who will be undergoing a groundbreaking makeover for the movie.
The 43-year-old was also quick to add that Kazinsky fitted the bill absolutely, "We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character". Similarly, Kazinsky will be playing another brutish character in Fox's modern take of Frankenstein.
Legendary Pictures Warcraft is a 3D epic adventure based upon Blizzard Entertainment's highly acclaimed Warcraft video game series. Jones (Moon, Source Code) is joined by writer Charles Leavitt with a script that tells about the initial combat between the orc and the human factions. Fighting alongside Kazinsky in The Horde are Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Tony Kebbel as Durotan and Daniel Wu as Gul'Dan. The Alliance of the humans will be portrayed by Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, Travis Fimmel as Anduin and Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar. The said official Warcraft movie trailer is rumored to debut during the theatrical release of Jurassic World next month in June 12.
Warcraft is set for theaters on June 10, 2016.
