‘Supernatural’ Season 10 Finale, Season 11 Preview: Dean pays the Price of Deal with Grim Reaper; Jared Padalecki won’t return next season?

In the "Supernatural" Season 10 closer titled, "Brother's Keeper," Dean Winchester summoned Death in a desperate attempt to get rid of Cain's Mark. CW gave the Winchesters another season but will Jared Padalecki return despite experiencing exhaustion?

Dean and Sam faced extremely tough situations throughout "Supernatural" season 10 and it came to a close with Dean summoning one of the Horsemen, Death, just to cure the curse of the Mark of Cain. The Mark was given to Dean during the show's ninth season and caused most of the brothers' battles during the series 10.

Dean (Jensen Ackles) even became a demon during the earlier episodes of season 10 but Sam (Jared Padalecki) found a cure to save him. After that, every day has been a constant struggle for Dean to fight the lust to kill caused by the Cain's Mark.

In "Brother's Keeper" fans of the show saw Dean attempt to erase the Mark from his arms through the help of Death (Julian Richings). Save Dean squad, composed of Sam and Castiel (Misha Collins) were also desperate in saving Dean no matter what the consequences are and despite having doubts-especially Cas-about their plans.

The CW already greenlighted Supernatural Season 11 since the show is still running strong after 10 seasons. Mark Pedowitz, The CW boss, has expressed his admiration towards the chemistry of Jensen and Jared and the other series regulars. He also teased that the show isn't ending just yet.

"As long as the ratings hold and the boys want to do it, we're in," he said of the show's future.

However, 10 seasons of the show seem to finally taken its toll on the other half of the Winchesters, Jared Padalecki. The actor recently had to cancel his appearance from JIBCON, an annual fan convention in Italy, due to illness. He also stressed that he has to spend some time with his family and even tweeted "I need all of the love I can get right now."

Fortunately, Padalecki is doing better already, as per his manager's official statement. His management also declared that the actor is "excited about shooting "Supernatural" season 11," which will kick off this July.

"Supernatural" season 10 ended with a primary goal: save Dean. Death even came back to make a deal with the older Winchester while Sammy and Cas also did not waste time to find a cure for the Mark of Cain. "Supernatural" season 11 is already a go and will see the return of both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
