House of Wolves, the latest DLC for Destiny, was released a couple of days ago and introduced new weapons and armor, the Vestian Outpost, and loads of new content as well.
New weapons include the 347 Vesta Destiny Scout Rifle and the Lord of Wolves Shotgun, as well as Dreg's Promise which is included in the new weapon class called Sidearm. New helmets (Eternal Warrior, The Ram, Exotac Angel Hunter), gauntlets (ACD/0 Feedback Fence, Ikaheka's Hooks, Nothing Manacles), and boots (Peregrine Greaves, Unremarkable Bones) also come in with the House of Wolves DLC.
Players who participated in the previous Queen's Wrath event prior to the launch can now turn in their engrams at the Reef's Vestian Outpost to get a chance to receive legendary weapons and armor. Petra Venj, Variks and the Disciple of Osiris will grant the bounties, weapons, ships and class items, and buffs and rewards for the game's new PvP and PvE modes: the timed event Trials of Osiris and the coop arena Prison of Elders.
The House of Wolves also introduced some fixes, which included one for the gear upgrading system. Many players complained about this in the first DLC launched in December, Dark Below.
Aside from those previously mentioned, other content included in House of Wolves are new story missions (A Kell Rising), four new Crucible maps (Black Shield, The Timekeeper, Thieves' Den, Widow's Court),and a new Strike (The Shadow Thief). In addition, House of Wolves increases the maximum weapon Attack Power to 365. Some content will remain exclusive to PlayStation until at least Fall 2015.
House of Wolves costs US$20 as a standalone, or $35 as part of an expansion pass.
House of Wolves is the second DLC for Destiny. This first person shooter game was released last September by developer Bungie and publisher Activision for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
