"Fifty Shades Darker" will see the introduction of new characters based from E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" book trilogy, including Elena Lincoln, Leila Williams, and Jack Hyde. Which actor and actresses will play these new characters in the sequel?
"Fifty Shades Darker" will see the return of the brooding and dark CEO, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. The story will take place following Ana and Christian's breakup after Ana realized that Christian's world is too dark for her to handle. Ana will begin working at a small publishing company under the supervision of her editor, Jack Hyde.
Jack Hyde is described as a man with tied long red hair with "piercing blue eyes," Fashion & Style noted. For fans who have read the book all the way to "Fifty Shades Freed," Jack Hyde turns out to be more than just Ana's boss. Which actor is best suited to play the role of Ana's evil and maniac boss?
The outlet cited several actors who would best suit the role of Jack Hyde. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is at the top of their list, as the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actor was previously rumored to have been offered the role of Christian. "Superman" actor Henry Cavill is the top pick for most fans, as the actor seemingly gives off that Jack Hyde vibe, but it could be quite a challenge for him to transition from becoming the hero to turning into the villain.
Jamie Dornan will be reprising his role as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson will be back as Anastasia Steele. Meanwhile, there are rumors that E.L. James will be directing the sequel, following the exit of Sam Taylor-Johnson from the series.
The cast and crew of "Fifty Shades of Grey" are still mum on casting updates, but the release date for the upcoming sequels have been announced. "Fifty Shades Darker" hits theatres on Feb. 10, 2017 while "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released on Feb. 9, 2018.
