CyberConnect2 officially announced that their most ambitious game, 'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4', is set to be launched this fall, although the exact date has yet to be revealed - it will be available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
As President and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama discussed more of the gameplay features, he said "I know fans are expecting to see the climatic battles from the manga in the game, but I can't say any details about this since the information will be revealed in Weekly Jump. But, don't worry about it."
Weekly Shonen Jump, the original site of 'Naruto' and 'Naruto Shippuden' mangas, confirms Jinchuriki Uchiha Obito's tailed-beast appearance, as a playable character.
The final title in the 'Ultimate Ninja Storm' series will have its plot tag closely to the original manga focusing on the Fourth Ninja War. The magazine's latest volume showed screenshots of Obito in battle. New graphically-stunning settings are expected to be seen in the gameplay.
As part of the game's story mode, players will be able to choose from either Uzumaki Naruto or Uchiha Sasuke, against Obito's Ten Tails form. Another major change is you can switch leader characters in the heat of battle.
CyberConnect2 CEO Matsuyama also revealed that tailed-Beasts will play a huge role in this game. Party members will share the life bar in order to achieve a balance in power. If the 'Awakening mode' is activated, it will stay active even when leader characters are switched. Players will be able to use a 'Tailed Beast Ball' combo attack.
According to rumors, the fourth installment will be released in both regular and special editions. It may also feature extra content and exclusive expansion packs.
On the other hand, the creator of Naruto manga, Masashi Kishimoto, will be attending the New York Comic-Con as one of the spotlight guests on Oct. 8 and Oct. 10, 2015. He will be joined by Greg Capullo (Batman), Adam Hughes (Wonder Woman), Chris Claremont (X-Men), and founder of McFarlane Toys, Todd McFarlane.
