Twenty years after releasing her album Jagged Little Pill, singer Alanis Morissette is still living up to the lyrics of her songs and she is still as "angry" as her songs are. The singer is proud that her son Ever is already writing and hopes he could follow her footsteps.
STILL ANGUISHED BUT PLEASED
On Wednesday night, Alanis Morissette was able to perform several songs from the said album that made hits such as You Oughta Know, You Learn, Ironic, Head Over Feet and Hand in my Pocket, rising her to fame since 1995. A report said the gig was part of the Elle Women in Music Awards in Hollywood. Alanis was happy she was still able to carry out her songs which she considers as timeless, that she is still able to stand up to its lyrics. With her songs known for being filled with angst, the singer admits that she still feels "angry" until now also kidding that any married woman would feel the same.
Alanis shared her being happily married to Mario Treadway and about wanting to have more kids with him. A source says Alanis continues to keep the love burning by flirting, saying compliments with each other, for her, is the best sexy time. The hitmaker also says she would want her son Ever to be able to share his writing talent with another sibling soon. Alanis' song "Guardian's" tune is about Ever which the latter loves. Alanis plans to allow Ever's natural talent flow and will never rush him into music.
WHAT'S SHE'S UP TO
Meanwhile, in another report, Alanis says she is into writing new music, a book and is soon going on a new tour. She also compared the music of today with the industry back then. She said many women singers with the same genre have sprouted nowadays while it was difficult to break into the same field during her time. Alanis also described new artists who are into expression than fame as "exciting".
Alanis may still be "angry" but her family life and career are enough reasons for her to continue to flash that big smile.
