Sony announced last week that it will do a livestream of its "Playstation E3 Experience" at the upcoming 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California.
"Tickets are free and will be made available on 27 May (9AM US Pacific Time). 80% of theater capacity will be reserved for ticket holders, with 20% of the theater held for those on the wait list, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis," said Sony on its website.
"Attendees will get access to an exclusive 30 minute post-show hosted by Geoff Keighley and a special PlayStation surprise," the company added.
The Playstation E3 Experience will be shown in North American theaters on 15 June from 6PM-8:30PM Pacific Time. Viewers must be at least 17 years old and must present a valid ID to enter.
For those who could neither attend the E3 nor go to the theaters that day, the conference can be viewed in the Live Events Viewer application in their PS3 or PS4 consoles.
Last year, Sony showed their E3 presentation at a Fathom Event in a few select theaters in the US. It was considered to be a success; hence it will do a similar approach this year. The tickets were reportedly sold out in about 15 minutes, with the "surprise" being an early access to the Destiny alpha and a code to play the Battlefield Hardline beta and giveaways. This year, the number of theaters has been expanded to more than 75, with at least one theater in every state - including Alaska and Hawaii - showing the event, including three in Canada.
The E3 is just happening a few weeks away on 16-18 June. Sony is expected to present developments and other information regarding their upcoming game titles for 2015 and early 2016. Street Fighter 5, God of War 3 Remastered, No Man's Sky, and Project Morpheus are what some predict to be part of the company's air time.
